Allow me to introduce myself

Hey there! My name is Kardia, I’m 27 years old and I love connecting with people in a meaningful way. I have been wanting to start this blog for a while now because I believe that throughout my life, I have learned some valuable lessons that can impact others who have had similar experiences.

A little bit about me, I have a masters degree in Clinical Counseling, I ran track at Indiana Wesleyan University, I just moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, and I love all things fitness. Recently, life has had its way of “lifeing” and reminding me that I can hardly control much of my circumstances. I’m sure you have felt this way, regardless of what stage of life you might be in. I won’t go into much detail just yet but I am wanting to start this journey of being vulnerable with what I have experienced, hoping to create a safe community that cultivates growth and wellbeing. And let's be honest, this is also for me to not feel as alone either.

I’m calling this “Holistically Fit” because I believe that being “fit” means more than just having muscles. Through school, work, and my own life experiences, I’ve come to the realization that you can truly live your best life through being mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually in shape. Taking care of your overall well being is what gets you through the toughest of periods and can allow you to thrive instead of just surviving (although just surviving might be all you can handle right now).

Throughout this blogging journey, I’m going to be sharing personal stories, mental health strategies, recipes, workout routines, and whatever else you guys want more insight on throughout the week. Follow along if you want to thrive in life by becoming holistically fit!
